What is a meme if not a portal into someone else's mind? You get to see what haunts them, what tickles them, what keeps them up at night, what they find worthy of memeing. The humble meme creator is an oft-overlooked, but necessary figure in the culture. I bet you couldn't name more than 1 or 2 people you know in real life who make memes, if that. It's a shadowy position, relegated to dark corners and alone time.

But where would we be without them? What would keep us coming back to the internet? How would we relate to our peers in our group chats? How would we spice up PowerPoint presentations to show we're hip and in the know? So let's take a moment to honor all the brilliant meme makers out there, whoever you are. We lift you up, we sing your praises, and we thank you for the unseen work that we get to chuckle at.
